Great coffee, coffee drinks, pastries, service, and it's expensive. Not a lot of seating indoors but more outside.

I'm particular with my coffee & the cold brew was JUST what I needed! The flavor was well balanced and gave me the kick I needed in the morning. I added oat milk and it gave it a nice creamy flavor. Very good coffee!! The guy at the front desk was super kind and welcomed me in. It's a smaller seating area inside but I was able to find a spot and do some work while visiting NYC for a bit. Would recommend for anyone looking for a local coffee spot

Coffee Project in the East Village is a sustainably-centered coffee shop that aims to "improve the quality of life for every person in the coffee supply chain, from producers to consumers" and offers a deconstructed latte flights for a unique tasting experience. We ordered a deconstructed latte with oat milk with featured a shot of espresso, steamed oat milk and an oat milk latte along with seltzer water as a palette cleanser and waffle cookie as a treat. We enjoyed getting to taste the different notes in the espresso alone and with milk. We also had the Yuzu Jolt, a yuzu lemonade drink with cold brew which was refreshing and summery. For food we had the rhubarb scone and avocado croissant with feta, tomato and black sesame. Coffee Project is proof you can serve great coffee while still doing right by the coffee making community and customers

As I stepped inside, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility that felt like a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of the city. Surprisingly, despite its prime location, The Coffee Project managed to maintain a sense of calm that was sorely lacking in the nearby caffeine-fueled hotspots. Perhaps it's the slightly off-the-beaten-path location that keeps the chaos at bay, but whatever the reason, I found myself instantly drawn to the cozy ambience and inviting atmosphere. Of course, no visit to The Coffee Project would be complete without sampling their signature beverages. I opted for the Matcha Latte, and let me tell you, it was just what the doctor ordered--creamy, frothy, and perfectly balanced, it hit the spot in all the right ways. But it wasn't just the drinks that left me impressed--it was the impeccable service, too. From the friendly smiles to the quick and helpful assistance, the staff at The Coffee Project went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of delightful. Sure, it may be a small space, but don't let that fool you. The Coffee Project is the perfect spot to cozy up with a good book or catch up with friends over a steaming cup of joe. So next time you find yourself in need of a little respite from the chaos of city life, look no further than The Coffee Project in the East Village. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
